Quick Information:
Mag-aso Falls – a 25-feet twin falls located in Antequera, Bohol, around 20 kilometers from Tagbilaran City, the provincial capital of Bohol. Mag-aso got its name from the word “aso”, meaning smoke, “mag-aso” – meaning smoking. The origin of the name can be attributed to the mist or fog in the area during early morning or at night time.
Punta Cruz Watch Tower – a triangular watch tower located in Maribojoc, a municipality about 16 km from Tagbilaran City. Punta Cruz Watch Tower was built as a look-out post for marauders and pirates in 1796. Today, Punta Cruz serves as a tourist attraction and a picnic place for families wanting to enjoy the beach in the area.
Hinagdanan Cave – a cave located in Bingag, Dauis, Bohol, just few kilometers from Tagbilaran City. It’s name came from the local dialect word “hagdan”, meaning ladder, referring to the way people using an improvised ladder to get inside the cave.
